As a C-IAYT (Certified Yoga Therapist with IAYT-International Association of Yoga Therapists), and Educator, with over 26 years experience, I specialize and am certified in Chronic Pain Care and Education, Trauma Informed (including Sexual trauma) Yoga Therapy, and Yoga Therapy Education.
Yoga therapy applies modern sciences of the human systems, alongside ancient wisdom of the human experience, to empower individuals suffering from emotional and physical health imbalances and concerns.
I offer one-on-one yoga therapy with a grounded, down-to-earth approach, guiding those who suffer physically, mentally, and emotionally, towards ease of movement, and a more peaceful mind.
As an educator I help my clients understand the “why”.
Sessions are not like yoga classes
They are personally tailored, starting with a compassionate health intake, and then offering appropriate knowledge, and accessible, practical tools towards overall health and wellness from the vast foundation of my background.
I have over 3000 hours of education both in yoga and sciences, including but not limited to; Pain Science, Trauma, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Neurobiology, Neuroplasticity, Physiology, Yogic Philosophy, the science of Mindfulness & Breath, and most importantly the fact based understanding of the interconnection of all these.
Founder of H~OM Yoga Center/School (2007), I am the director and lead educator of H~OM TYES, an IAYT accredited 800 hour Yoga Therapy Program. It is one of only 7 yoga therapy programs in Canada accredited by IAYT.
I teach in-person and on zoom; private one-on-one yoga therapy sessions focusing on specific health concerns, group yoga and meditation classes, specialty workshops and trainings.
I am also co-founder & president of MISTY- Montreal International Symposium on Therapeutic Yoga, which she co-founded in 2011.
I am known and respected by many of my peers worldwide and best known for my deep compassion, warmth, and commitment to increasing awareness of yoga therapy to health care and yoga professionals, while passionately educating and helping those who suffer directly.
I love to be in nature, walking, skiing, swimming or paddle boarding. I am also proud mama of 4 amazing young adults and 2 awesome grandchildren!
